Week #10: TOOLS

September 23, 2012: Curlers

Before and after.  I used these curlers to get these delightful curls. :) Good tools do a good job.

September 24, 2012: Friendship Bread Tools

These are the same tools I use practically every time I make friendship bread, which is practically every 10 days.  Carbs galore if you ask me.  I like how everything is color co-ordinated. :D

September 25, 2012: Tools for the car

Well, maybe not tools exactly, but to an extent!  I got all the lights on that I could.  I mean, the warning lights.  Notice that I did not have my seat belt on, I had the emergency brake engaged, and I also had my brights on.  Exciting times.

September 26, 2012: Tooth tools

Brushing my teeth tools. I love the feeling of my teeth being freshly brushed.  P.S. The Crew hair gel is NOT mine.

September 27, 2012: Canning

I made pear marmalade and canned it.  What a long process.  At least this batch worked.  the orange marmalade I made the other day kinda flopped.  More like orange syrup, "like on hotcakes!"

September 28, 2012: The most amazing thing you will ever taste.

So, I found this recipe online, and it's very similar to a recipe we used to make all the time, but Aimee knew the recipe and I didn't.  Anyways, it's super easy to make and I have to be honest, it's so hard to stop eating them once you have started.  Lay out pretzels on a tin foil lined tray as you see here.  1 tray = 1 recipe.  Heat 1 C. Brown sugar and 1 C. butter in a pan until it's all combined and starts to bubble, then pour and spread it evenly over the pan of pretzels.  Then pop them into a 375 degree over for 5 minutes.  they will get very bubbly.  Pull them out and sprinkle 1 C. chocolate chips over the whole thing.  Put back in the over for 1 minute and then spread out the chocolate chips.  Let cool and break them apart.  We keep them in the refrigerator so they stay a little harder.  Enjoy! :)

September 29, 2012: Setting

I got up at 6AM so I could do a few things before we went to camp to do camp tear down, and I went outside to hang come laundry.  I looked over and realized that the moon was setting.  It looked so beautiful that I had to take a picture, and I am very glad I did so!
